My name is Don Calkins and I am a senior living in the Parkdale Public Housing unit in Great Falls MT.
Around here, I'm known as Don the Paper Guy because I deliver the local shopper in Parkdale and the Great Falls Tribune in and around Parkdale.
Most of my time tho' is spent as a social activist. I'm a member of Neighborhood Council #9, Neighborhood Council #9 representative on the Police Advisory Board, Area Coordinator of Parkdale Neighborhood Watch, Site Manager of Parkdale Senior Commodities (Commodities Supplemental Food Program), a member of the Weed & Seed Steering Committee, Bahá'í representative on the Great Falls Inter-Faith Association, and Inter-Faith representative on the Healthy Youth Coalition Steering Committee.
Over the next months, I'll be discussing these organizations, issues raised by them and other social issues, largely involving Great Falls and vicinity.
